Naturopathic Physician, Licensed Acupuncturist, M.S. Oriental Medicine
Dr. Babbie has a passion for healing and knew from the age of four that she wanted to spend her life in the healing arts. As a Naturopathic Doctor, licensed acupuncturist and healer she uses the best of western medical diagnostic skills in conjunction with the time honored practices of Chinese medicine, Acupuncture, Botanical medicine, Nutrition, Lifestyle counseling, Physical medicine, Homeopathy, Shamanic Medicine and Chiren in her practice. She weaves her diverse medical knowledge together to create an unforgettable healing experience for her patients.
Recently, Dr. Babbie has been studying and researching in a field of medicine called Biontology. Biontology is based on the principle that every cell vibrates at a certain frequency. Cells in a healthy state vibrate at a coherent frequency, cells in a dis-eased or unbalanced state vibrate at chaotic frequencies. Using an instrument called the “Chiren”, she measures acupuncture meridian points and then, through the concepts of acupuncture and homeopathy, use specific frequencies of light to restore balance in the human body.
Babbie (McComb) Lester was born and raised in Park City, Utah. After graduating from Park City High School in 1993, she attended Whitman College with degrees in pre-medicine and drama. After college graduation, Dr. Babbie completed her NLP certification and studied Shamanic Medicine with The Four Winds Society and Dr. Theo Parades in the US and Peru. During her winter breaks and after graduation, she worked at Park City Mountain Resort and earned “Employee of the Year” for her enthusiasm and fun-spirit.
After traveling in South America and working for two years as an outdoor field guide at the Oakley School, Babbie decided to pursue her passion of healing and attended a six-year dual degree program in Naturopathic Medicine and Classical Chinese Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. There, she served as Student Body President and a Presidential Ambassador. She is currently licensed in the state of Utah as a Naturopathic Physician and Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc.) after successfully passing her Board exams in August 2007. She completed her residency at Utah Valley Health Clinic in Provo, Utah under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Wright. Dr. Babbie lives high in the mountains with her family and owns Mountain Sage Natural Health and Acupuncture clinic in Park City.
